Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is currently seeking proposals for the following:

  • Congregate and Home Delivered Meal Service: It is the responsibility of the Area Agency on Aging to develop and implement the congregate and home delivered meals program as provided for under the Older Americans Act of 1965 and its amendments. To do this, NEI3A is accepting bids for the period July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022 with an option to extend an additional 24 months. The contract will be awarded to responsible providers whose proposals demonstrate to be most advantageous to the area's program, price, and other factors considered. Final judgment in this determination rests with the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging's Policy Board upon the recommendation of the Area Agency on Aging's Area Advisory Committee per the Area Advisory Sub-Committee. The NEI3A Policy Board reserves the right not to award a contract if in the best interest of the organization and the elders they serve.

  • Audit Services:  NEI3A is currently seeking audit proposals for a three-year governmental auditing contract. Audits are to be completed by October 31 for each year ending June 30.

    The audits shall be conducted in accordance with U.S. generally accepted auditing standards contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996, and OMB Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations.

  • Evaluation/Needs Assessment Survey:  The Senior Medicare Patrol National Resource Center, housed within Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging, is seeking proposals to complete an evaluation/needs assessment survey to determine SMP director and coordinator of volunteer needs and satisfaction with the SMP Nation al Resource Center's resources and services; as well as to evaluate the Center's achievement and attainment of the stated grant outcome:

“SMP projects will be able to access and utilize the SMP National Resource Center’s services and resources, rating them as important and effective for fulfilling the SMP mission, the SMP program objectives, and Volunteer Program Management.”
