Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) is proud to announce the opening of the Dubuque Senior Center. The Senior Center will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will be located at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1780 White Street in Dubuque. Along with a nutritious meal, those who attend will also enjoy participating in activities, games and educational opportunities.

“NEI3A has been delivering meals to homebound seniors in Dubuque for years,” stated Donna Harvey, NEI3A CEO. “Studies show that seniors eat better when they eat with others. The opening of the Dubuque Senior Center will allow community members to not only enjoy a hot, nutritious meal, but also be able to enjoy the socialization aspect of senior centers that is so important.”

To celebrate, NEI3A will be hosting a Grand Opening on Monday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. The public is invited to attend and learn about the NEI3A’s nutrition program and other services offered. Donna Harvey will conduct a brief program at 11:15 a.m. followed by a senior center meal.

If you are interested in attending and receiving a meal, please call Colleen Lawler at 563-543-7065 by 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23. Meals are offered on a contribution basis for those aged 60 and over, otherwise the cost of the meal is $8.28.

Empowering you to age with confidence.
