NEI3A Hosting Health Fairs and Farmers Market Coupon Distribution Kickoff

NEI3A will be hosting a series of Health Fairs throughout Northeast Iowa featuring information about how to protect your identity and valuable nutrition information.  Each of the events will feature local vendors and a door prize and will also serve as the kick off for the distribution of the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks. The checks can be exchanged at Farmers Markets, roadside stands, and community supported agriculture programs for fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey.

Below is a listing of the locations and times. Make plans to attend an event near you!

  • Independence: June 1 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Buchanan County Senior Center, 400 5th Ave. NE
  • Manchester: June 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Delaware County Senior Center, 1208 W. Marion St.
  • Waterloo: June 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Waterloo Senior Center, 2101 Kimball Ave.
  • Eldora: June 4 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Dorothy’s Senior Center, 1306 17th Ave.
  • Marshalltown: June 4 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Marshall County Senior Center, 20 ½ E. State St.
  • Greene: June 5 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Greene Senior Center, 202 W. South St.
  • New Hampton: June 5 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Chickasaw Senior Center, 301 N. Water Ave.
  • Grinnell: June 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Grinnell Senior Center, 925 East St.
  • Tama: June 6 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Tama County Senior Center, 900 E. 5th Street
  • Waukon: June 7 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Waukon Senior Center, 1220 3rd Avenue NW
  • Decorah: June 7 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the LifeLong Links Center for Community Living, 607 Washington Street

  • Cedar Falls: June 8 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Senior Center, 528 Main St.
  • Maquoketa: June 11 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jackson County Senior Center, 1000 E. Quarry St.
  • Dubuque: June 11 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Dubuque Senior Center, 1780 White Street
